Doug WilliamsI'm considering selling my 99 Red Kat, as she's used so seldom. I've never had a car that's produced such joy for me, but the 07 Caddy XLR Convertible looks like it may be a sweet upgrade. Any idea what my 99 with 14k and a matching Trailer are worth ?? Both are in pristine condition, and have lived under covers in a heated garage. Thanks, and let the beatings begin !! Doug
392HEMIBased upon the pricing coming this spring, I would think you are in the $37,000 to $41,000 market. $35,000 should be a quick sell, "in pristine condition".
bjprowlerInstead of prolonging the agony, why don't you just get a pile of money ($24,320 to be exact) and just set it on fire?

The '07 XLR "starts" at $78,920 and the NADA for an '05 XLR is $54,600.....

For that kind of money I'll wait till my a$$ is dead before it gets hauled around in a Caddy...

ALLEY CATSorry to say,,,bj is correct. Caddy XLR sales are weak,,very weak. Fit on panels is lousy,,,,orange peel paint, terrible re-sale value,,,, etc.

...last year I had a dealer offer me a new "left over" 05 Silver XLR for $50K, I offered $45K and they asked me inside to negotiate....I left....it had sat on the lot for over a year....MSRP was about $76K ...Vette is the same car without the Walnut trim for $$$ less, and has a better resale....KEEP THE PROWLER, and drive the wheels off of it

Scot SternOwned a 1993 Cadillac Allante that I really liked. I thought that the styling and the electronics were really way ahead of their time. I saw it as an attractive option to a Corvette that had class. (owned two Corvettes at the time and still have one)

Cadillac decided not to continue making the car, which is exactly what will happen with the XLR and the resale will be next to nothing. Parts were not available at all and you had to find used parts if you had an accident. That car sold for over $60K in 1993 and has no value today. I traded the car in on a Lexus GX470, which is also a rat, and, since they were not selling real well, they at least gave me something for the car.

All-in-all, Cadillac's XLR is simply a disaster waiting to happen again. I too was “suckered” into looking at it and thinking about buying one. GM’s current financial condition is at best, perilous and they have a track record of not supporting what they sell. It is highly likely that this unsuccessful car that is selling at a below expectation rate, will not survive GM’s axe. Run, don't walk from the idea of acquiring one unless you decide to lease it.

If you really want an XLR buy a Corvette. Better value with much better support and higher resale value.

Just my 2 cents

Damn straight...that caddy couldn't handle your lead foot!

Doug WilliamsShe's gone...... I traded her for an 07 Lotus. I had to cough up an additional 20k, but it still beats having payments. I doubt that any vehicle could come close to my Kat in regard to the joy it's provided, but I figure I can get another later on in life if I grow bored with the Lotus. In the meantime, I have a new toy, that supposedly tops out at 140mph +. I don't believe it, but we shall see !! Doug
The PhantomGosh, did not even give it a chance! 2 days??
GeneMust say my Prowler just sets also,in 7 years has less than 7000 miles.Never had it out of garage last year just started it weekly.I keep doing mods.to it but not driving it.Speaking of replacing I bought a Lexus SC 430 and must say after having corvettes, cadilacs, lincolns and such this SC I will say Is car I like above all except my streetrods.
